Ben & Jerry’s is located in the heart of the Green Mountains. Its ice cream factory sits on a rolling pasture just north of the small town of Waterbury, Vermont. Its factory tours are fun and educational for all ages. You will learn about the ice cream production and how the company started and grew to its current state. Of course the best part is sampling the wonderful flavors of their famous ice cream!
Green Mountain Coffee Roasters is in the restored Waterbury Station. This station is a jewel and has been lovingly restored to its circa-1875 glory. The station still serves train passengers on the Amtrak line that runs from St. Albans, Vermont to Washington, D.C. The Green Mt. Coffee visitors’ center offers interactive media experiences. Learn how coffee is grown, harvested, processed and roasted. You can sample coffees from around the world. Experience the “taste of place” that makes each origin unique. Discover unique gifts and crafts from the coffee-growing communities. And after your visit, relax in their café with a cappuccino, latte, espresso or other coffee creation, custom-made for you.
The Cold Hollow Cider Mill is one of the top producers of Fresh Apple Cider in all of New England. They are also one of the very few that press year-round. The Mill has become one of the top tourist attractions in Vermont because their operation is open to public viewing. Come and sample cider that's still made the old fashioned way, with a rack and cloth press built in the 1920's.
