This nationally known railway museum showcases a quarter-million artifacts, documents and other articles related to Canada's railway history. The real stars, however, are the 140 locomotives and other rolling stock, many of which are in working order. The CPR 144 is the oldest existing locomotive in the country, while The Rocket was Montreal's inaugural electric streetcar. The last remaining FM Train Master diesel locomotive in CP colors is a thing to behold! Several trains and streetcars offer rides on a daily basis.
The Montreal Model Railroad Club has built an amazing HO model railroad that is 123 feet long, 37 feet wide and holds over 4000 feet of track with 497 switches! This layout keeps 20 operators busy during one of their sessions. The model work is first class and it is a world-class layout in any scale!
